The quarterly Lifting up Phillips County in Prayer event is scheduled for Saturday, December 15 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Helena Court Square (across from Phillips County Courthouse) in downtown Helena with approval from Judge Clark Hall.
“This is an event for everyone,” said Melissa Wood, Event Coordinator. The giving away of winter coats will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Anyone who cannot afford a coat can come and volunteers will assist them in selecting a free coat for this winter. Coats of all sizes will be available for youth and adults in need. Volunteers are needed to help out with this event.
Live music will be provided by local talent. Churches also are invited to come and set up information booths. They might want to sell some crafts and food. “We just want the community to get to know our local churches,” said Melissa.
Finally, we will wrap up with prayer for Phillips County.
Special thanks to Julie Goings and Adelle Dollahite for their help in making this event happen.
