Queen Esther Estelle Tribue Jarrett was born to the late Elmore and Margaret (Ogburn) Tribue on November 10, 1931 in Adamsville, Tennessee. She was the first born of six children.
The family later relocated to Louisville, Kentucky. As a young adult she and her sister Mattie Marie moved to Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago she met married the late Elbert “Al” Jarrett. They later moved to West Helena, Arkansas.
Queen was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to New Haven Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor G.G. Brown where she sang in the choir and was a faithful member until her health failed.
Momma was a loving and kind Mother. She loved and cared for many neighborhood children for many years and is know by so many as Momma Queen. She enjoyed fishing and gardening with her husband. She was an exceptionally good cook and enjoy preparing big meals for her loved ones. Quilting was another one of her joys.
A giving, gentle spirit that Loved God, loved her husband and family unconditionally. Her beautiful smile and comforting touch will truly be missed.
Momma transitioned to her heavenly home and departed this earthly life at 3:26 pm on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mae Catherine Tribue and Mattie Marie Tribue Boydt, three brothers Richard L. Tribue, Elmore Tribue Jr. and Lorenzo Tribue and her late husband Elbert “Al” Jarrett.
Queen leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son Marvin Thomas (Constance) Jarrett Sr. of Little Rock, Arkansas. Three daughters, Esther Mae (Louis) Bobo and Marvilla Marie Jarrett of West Helena, Arkansas, Debra Ann (Robbie) Boss of Savannah, Georgia, and a very special nephew Pastor Isacc (Ferry) Tribune.
Fourteen grandchildren; Keisha Estelle (Arthur) Ingram and Kristopher (Drunetta) Moore of Conway, Arkansas. Marvin (Denise) Jarrett Jr., Matthew (Keaira) Jarrett and Jonathan Jarrett of Little Rock, Arkansas. NeCory (Joyce) Smith California. KeAndrea Moore, Antoineise Jones, Anterica Baylark, of West Helena, Arkansas. Amoson Bryant of Forrest City, Arkansas. Attorney Aeriel Shay Irby of Columbia, Missouri. Gabrielle Miller-Boss Houston, Texas, Robbie NaKia Boss Atlanta, GA, Rachelan Queen Boss Savannah, Georgia. Thirty-seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
