Residential Burglary in progress on N. 3rd Street


Helena-West Helena police officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of N. 3rd Street on a break-in in progress Thursday, August 16, 2018.

The caller identified the suspect as Mach Henry and stated that he was taking the whole window from the residence. Once on the scene, officers encountered Henry who was carrying the windows away from the house. Henry told the officers he had permission to get the window from Marsette Stevenson.

Officers were unable to get in contact with Stevenson. Henry was then taken into custody and transported to the Helena-West Helena Police Department for processing.

Henry stated to officers, that no matter what he does, the judge was going to let him go.


Residential Burglary on Ohio Street


Helena-West Helena police officer Yasmine Allen was dispatched to a residence on Ohio Street in response to a break-in call Friday, August 17, 2018.

Officer Allen was met by the resident who was standing outside on her front porch. The resident stated she came home form work to her find her door open.

Officer Allen and Officers Watson and Henderson conducted a building search throughout the home and the building was clear.

The resident reported that the her 32” Flat Screen television had been stolen from her living room.

This case is remains under investigation.


Suspect locked themselves in Bedroom


Helena-West Helena police officer Tarbin Henderson was dispatched to a residence on York Street on a break-in call Sunday, August 19, 2018.

Once on the scene, Officers Watson and Henderson were met by the resident, who told them a black male subject broke-in to her residence. The suspect walked into the southeast bedroom and was seen by some juveniles. The juveniles described the suspect to officers, noting the subject had big eyes.

Officers Watson and Henderson, with the resident’s permission, entered the building. The officers found the northeast bedroom door was locked. With permission, they made entry into the room and found the eastern window in the room had been taken out and left on the floor. No one was in the room at the time of search. The suspect left a purple pink Huffy girls bike underneath the window. The bike was taken into evidence, The suspect had ridden the bike to the residence and made entry through the window. This case remains under investigation.


Commercial Burglary at 2nd Baptist Church


Officer Yasmine Allen was dispatched to E. Baldwin on a break-in report Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

Once on scene, Officer Allen talked to the person who had discovered the break-in, who reported finding the women bathroom window panel missing and window pushed up. The reporting party told officer Allen, he had then seached the building and noticed the cabinets and drawers were open and that a few flashlights and walk talkies were missing.

This case is under investigation.


Residential Burglary reported on S 7th Street


Helena-West Helena police officers Yasmine Allen and Officer George Austin responded to a break-in on S. 7th Street Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

The reporting party told officers, she was driving by a relatives residence when she noticed the door was open. She told officers she believed the television was missing.

This case is under investigation.
