A Sebastian County Detention Center deputy resigned after being arrested Saturday.
Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Philip Pevehouse said Emily Dugan, 26, of Alma resigned from her position Sunday evening. She had worked at the detention center as a detention center deputy for two months.
Dugan was arrested in Van Buren at 11:50 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. All of the offenses are misdemeanors.
Dugan was released Sunday on a $1,950 legally sufficient bond. She is scheduled to appear in court May 24 at 1 p.m.
