Funeral services for Moses Grant, 47 of Helena-West Helena will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00pm at Kincaid East Chapel on Springdale Road. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Garden in Southland Community.

Moses Grant was born November 11, 1970, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, the third child of the late Dorothy Grant and James Thompson. Moses moved to Helena, Arkansas in 1979 with his mother, and one brother who also preceded him in death, Lonnie Grant. In Mose’s younger years, he loved lifting weights, flipping, listening to music, entertaining friends, and being side by side with his brothers. He was a very nice, fun, lovable young man, and was always a good0hearted person.

Moses moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, seeking a better life in 2010. He lived there with his sister for a short period, before returning to his home town of West Helena, Arkansas, where he lived with longtime girlfriend, Towanda Collins. He remained there until the Lord called him home.

Moses departed this life on Saturday April 28, 2018, in West Helena. He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters Shemika parks of West Helena and Shunterris Salter of Marvell; two sisters Lisa Grant of Arlington, Texas, and Regina Grant-Ward(Mark) of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers Jerome Grant of West Helena and Abraham Grant of Varner, Arkansas; four grandchildren; five aunts Margaret Staten of Wichita, Kansas, Listhea Wright of St. Louis, Missouri, Gloria Hogan of Robinsonville, Mississippi, Ms. Iguster Shaw and Pearliemae Beasley of West Helena; three uncles, Vollie Grant of Memphis, Tennessee; Thearthur Grant of Atlanta, Georgia; Henry Hogan of Southaven, Mississippi anda host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
