Helena-West Helena Police Officer Willester Black was dispatched to Dollar General, located at 205 Columbia St, Helena, for two male shoplifters.

Once on the scene, Officer Black made contact and detained two male suspects fitting the description of the shoplifters. The cashier verified that the two males that were detained were the two shoplifters.

One of the two suspects, Kenneth Eaton, 29, of West Helena, was found to have an active warrant with the City of Helena-West Helena Police Department . Eaton was place into custody and transported to the HWH Police Department for processing.

According to Dispatch, the second suspect, Chandrell Owten, 25, of West Helena, was banned from Dollar General by Judge King. Owten had been observed by the cashier stuffing little girls clothes into his pants. As Officer Black entered the store, he saw Owten pulling clothing from his pants and placing the clothes on shelves in the food isle.

Owten was searched and a bag of free leafy substance was found in his jacket pocket.

Once at the police station, Officer Black noticed what appeared to be kid clothing stuffed under the bench in the booking room where Owten was sitting. Owten was turned over to G.I.B. for further investigation.
