Ardella Smith, 89, of Jonesboro, formerly of Helena/ West Helena, passed away on March 5, 2018 at Craighead Nursing Center.
Ardella moved to Jonesboro about two years ago, coming from Birmingham, Al, where she had lived thirty-six years. She was a homemaker, and her family was top priority in her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother, not only did she love her family, she shared her loved with many others.. She loved the Lord God, and worshipped in the Pentecostal faith.
Ardella had many gifts including that of cooking, she was a seamstress, and loved working outdoors with flowers.
She is survived by her family which includes her children, five daughters, Lelia Johnson, Christine Harris, Sandra Tyler, Marilyn Banks, and Gloria Smith, five sons, Walter Smith, Jr, Leonard Smith, Clarence Smith, Maxie Smith, and Richard Smith, two sisters, Ola Franklin, and Marvella Ivory, one brother Robert James Smith, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
Services are at 1:oo pm Saturday, March 17, 2018 at New Haven Baptist Church, 404 West St. West Helena, AR, 72390
Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Cemetery on Lexa Road, directed by Woodard Funeral Service of Jonesboro.
Visitation is Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm in Woodard Funeral Service Chapel in Jonesboro, 216 East St.
