Luster Charles Adams was the third child born Jan. 29, 1935 in Helena to Earlie Adams and Minnie Estella Moore.

L.C., as he was known by most, was also affectionately called “ Shot” by his family members.

L.C. was a very soft spoken man of few words. He could be very comical at times. L.C. was a hard worker. He took several young men under his wings in an effort to instill in them the importance of working for a living.  L.C. worked for the Helena Improvement District for 65 years and for the Helena Cotton Oil Mill for 40 years. After his retirement, he continued to keep himself busy by cutting yards and tinkering with his trucks and cars.

L.C.  was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roosevelt, and three sisters, Ruthie Mae Watkins, Earlene Adams and Catherine Adams.

L.C. made his transition from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Methodist East Regional Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his children, Jay Rivers of St. Louis, Missouri, Charles Adams, F. Trena Adams, Antonio L.(Tina)Adams, Jason T. Adams, Cotrena R. Baker, Jaylin L. Ezell and Tylin D. Ezell all of Helena-West Helena, Luster D. Adams of Memphis, Gary D. Baker of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Lavonte’ C.
