Currently serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives, Chris Richey, of Helena-West Helena, is set to deliver this year's commencement address to the graduates of Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA)-Helena-West Helena.

Currently serving his third term in the Arkansas House of Representatives, Chris Richey, of Helena-West Helena, is set to deliver this year’s commencement address to the graduates of Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA)-Helena-West Helena.

Representing District 12, which includes Phillips County and portions of Arkansas, Lincoln and Desha counties, Rep. Richey will address the 2017 graduates during graduation exercises at 7p.m. Friday, May 19, in PCCUA’s Lily Peter Auditorium.

For the 91st General Assembly, Richey currently serves on the Committee for Public Welfare and Labor, the Committee for Insurance and Commerce, the Joint Committee on Energy, and the Joint Performance Review Committee. He also serves on the Arkansas Legislative Council and as the house chair of the Lottery Oversight Subcommittee.

At home in Helena, he works as executive director of the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce and serves as board president for the Boys & Girls Club of Phillips County.

Richey holds a B.A. degree in history and political science from Ouachita Baptist University and an M.A. in history from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

He and his wife, Holly, have two children, Ryan and Jon.
