Arkansas is one of 10 states bordering the Mississippi River that comprise the Mississippi River Parkway Commission. The commission is in charge of the Great River Road, which is a National Scenic Byway that meanders through the states from Minnesota to Louisiana. The commissioners from Arkansas met recently at the Delta Cultural Center. Also attending the meeting were staff from the Department of Parks and Tourism and several local dignitaries and tourism professionals.
