Fred King Jr. passed away on April 14, 2017 in a tragic fire that destroyed his home. He was 75.

Fred King Jr. passed away on April 14, 2017 in a tragic fire that destroyed his home. He was 75.

Fred King Jr. was born May 25, 1941 to Fred Archie King Sr. and Edna Earle Bailes King-Fitzgerald.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wade King of the Trenton community and his brother, William Henry King Sr. of Helena-West Helena and his brother-in-law, Roy N. Williams of Maryville, Tennessee and his parents.

He leaves a sister, Fern King Williams of Maryville; a sister-in-law, Mary Frances Ivy King of Helena-West Helena; a stepdaughter, Linda Brown (Gary) of Clarksdale, Mississippi; stepsons, Danny and Donny Adams; nieces, Dawn Williams Evans (John) of Maryville, Sheri L. Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina, Paul S. Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina, William Henry King Jr. of Indiana, Robert Walter King of Helena-West Helena; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew.

Fred and his late wife were deer hunters and they had a number of special hunting buddies.

It is recorded in the record book of Trenton Baptist Church that on Aug. 3, 1952, Fred and 24 others were saved during a revival service at the church.

He retired from Mohawk Rubber Co. after many years of service.

No formal funeral service will be held and he will be laid to rest at Cypert Cemetery next to his beloved wife.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 2 p.m. at Trenton Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Guthrie and Brother Harold Crisp presiding. Everyone is invited to join the family for refreshments in the church's fellowship hall immediately following the memorial service.
