Carl “Don” Treadwell, 81, of Helena-West Helena, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at his home.

Carl “Don” Treadwell, 81, of Helena-West Helena, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Treadwell was born Aug. 15, 1935 at Paragould to the late Wesly Ewing and Vivian Travis Treadwell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Helena, a 52-year Master Mason, and a retired employee of Sam’s Town Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. He also loved doing upholstery work.  

Mr. Treadwell leaves his wife, Patricia Treadwell of Helena-West Helena; a son, Carl “Tony” Treadwell (Mary) of Walnut Ridge; two stepsons, Tony Fletcher (Kathy) of Beebe and Lance Fletcher of Helena-West Helena; a daughter, Tracy Elliott of Pevely, Missouri; three grandchildren, Angelique Tilghman (Brian) of Pocahontas,  Jonathan Treadwell (Dominic) of Warm Springs and Stephen Elliott; a step grandson, T.J. Fletcher of Guy; four great-grandchildren, Jorja Grace Tilghman, Carlee Tilghman, Carter Treadwell and Mackenzie Treadwell; three sisters, Virginia Allen (O.A.) of Memphis, Tennessee, Joyce White (Ron) of England, Arkansas and Renee Gibson (John Frank) of Monticello; and a brother, Charles Treadwell (Pat) of Hot Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janet Allen and a brother, Billy Thomas Treadwell.

Funeral services for Carl “Don” Treadwell will be held 10 a.m., Friday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held before services beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery in Winchester. Brother Joe Loncar, Brother Larry Nichols and Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.

Pallbearers are Brian Ford, Lance Fletcher, Dale Brown and Brian Tilghman.

Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Jones, Charles Maggio, Nunzio Messina and Hershall Mooneyham.
