Local police are seeking two persons of interest in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Sand’s Motel in Helena-West Helena on the evening of August 11.
Helena-West Helena Police Chief Virgil Green has issued wanted posters on Corddero Carter, 22, and Tevin Randle, also 22. Carter is described as a black male, approximately 5’6” tall and weighing 120 pounds. He wears his hair in black dreds. He is light skinned and his eyes are brown.
Randle, a back male, is about 6’ tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds with blond or strawberry hair. He is dark skinned and his eyes are brown.
Green warned that both suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If seen, Green urges you to notify the H-WHPD at once at 870-572-3441 or dial 911.
On August 11, Helena-West Helena Police responded to a shooting incident at the Sands Motel at 1086 U.S. Highway 49. When officers arrived at the scene they discovered two males had been shot multiple times inside one of the motel rooms.
Green reported investigators have identified both shooting victims. They are Seneca Harvey, a black male, age 26 of Helena-West Helena and Antwon Speed, 25, also of Helena-West Helena.
Harvey was reportedly shot five times and was listed in stable condition at press time. Speed was listed in critical condition.
Both victims were transported to hospitals in Memphis.
According to Green, a juvenile has been questioned in connection with the shooting. He is currently being held on other related charges in a juvenile detention facility.
At press time, investigators had not made any arrests.
