Funeral services for Corine Gum will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 1 at the P.L.M. and D District Center.

Funeral services for Corine Gum will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 1at the P.L.M. and D District Center. Rev. Artis James will officiate. Burial will be in New Jerusalem Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 31 at Brown's Home for Funerals. 

Corine Gum was born September 19, 1938 in Wabash to the late Sylvester and Louise Gum.

Corine served her family in the labor of love. She lived, laughed, loved, and served her family. Where there is love, there is God. Where there is God, there is no need.

Her parents, grandparents, a brother and his wife, three uncles, seven aunts, one niece, and two nephews preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, eight siblings, Mary Gum, Juanita

Gum, Judie (Henry) Otey, Melvin (Shirlene) Gum, all of Lake View,

Virgie (John) Otey of Elaine, Jackie (Janett) of Muskogee, Oklahoma,

Lugene (Shun) Gum of Wausau, Wisconsin and Sarah Gum of Memphis, Tennessee, a brother-in-law, Terry Wilborn of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 aunts Virgie Ward of Chicago, Illinois, Mary McQueen of Peoria, Arizona, and Alma (Odell) Davis of Lake View; 3 uncles, Welton (Fannie) McKinney of Helena-West Helena, Rufus McKinney, and Clyde McKinney, both of

Chicago; two special family friends, Lester and Annie Jones of

Lake View, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces;

great-nephews, and cousins who love her and will miss her dearly.
