Phillips County Quorum Court justices of the peace approved a pair of ordinances at their regular monthly session on July 14.

The first ordinance established a fixed asset policy for tracking all purchased property costing $1,000 or more. The ordinance states, “All Phillips County fixed assets costing $1,000 or more will be entered into the county’ s Fixed Asset Tracking System and capitalized appropriately.”

A second ordinance called for an amendment to ordinance No. 2009-04 to fix the number and base pay of full-time county employees in emergency management and 911 and adding one new employee and the base pay for that position.

The ordinance establishes a new position of deputy coordinator of emergency management and 911 at a salary of $16,965 annually.
