Kevin Morris Sanders died July 10, 2015 while working in Pine Bluff.
Kevin Morris Sanders was born on December 9, 1977 to Arquilla Grant and Isaac Sanders Sr. He was the second of four sons.
Kevin accepted Christ at as early age at Zion Travels Church in Melwood.
Kevin graduated from C.V. White High School in Lake View where he played basketball and led them to some championships.
Kevin started work along with his brother at the Grand Casino immediately following his high school graduation. Later he transferred to the Isle of Capri Casino in Lula, Mississippi to be closer to home and his family. Kevin married Angela Mitchell.
Kevin started driving trucks over the road for Royal Trucking Company, but showed the true meaning of being his brother’s keeper by moving to Pine Bluff to help care for his brother Isaac Jr. He began working as a driver for Waste Management in Pine Bluff, but continued to drive home to be with his fiancée, children, mother and loved ones on the weekend.
Kevin joined St. Peter M.B. Church. He enjoyed ushering, listening to the choir, and fellowshipping with his church family. He was a very active member until his death.
Nothing meant more to Kevin than his children and family. It wasn’t unusual for him to take on two jobs so he could give more to them. If you heard a basketball bouncing, that would be Kevin outside still working on his game. He shared these skills with the kids. Kevin was a big hearted person that would give his last to anyone in need. He was very slow to anger, mild tempered, and didn’t engage in conflicts and confrontations. His passions included driving big trucks and playing sports. Kevin was a loving son, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He never met a stranger, and he always had a smile on his face.
Kevin took his wings and ended his journey on July 10, 2015 while working in Pine Bluff.
