Cynthia Baker was born April 25, 1958 to the late Mr. C. L. Baker and Mrs. Irene Starkey.
She was a faithful member of her church until she departed from this world on July 9, 2015 surrounded by loved ones, family and friends.
She was loved by many and left an impression everywhere she went. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Irada Mays, who raised her and equipped her to become the woman we all knew and loved, her brother, Charlie Hooker and two grandchildren.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Leon Roberson of Jacksonville; three sons, Clemon Brown and Corddearo Baker of Jacksonville and Dwayne (Domiquie) Baker of Helena-West Helena; two daughters, Shirlette (Tyrone) Donaby of Helena-West Helena, Ca’Trell (Freddie) Burns of Jacksonville; three stepchildren, Leon Roberson Jr., Frances Roberson and Kesha Roberson; an adopted daughter, Elendra King; two brothers, Shelby (Virginia) Mays of Zion, Illinois and Floyd (Annie) Mays of Waukegan, Illinois; two sisters, Shirley Salley of Portland, Oregon and Lydia Diana Starkey of Chicago, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Leah Hooker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly.
