Funeral services for the late Essie Willis Hudson-Thames will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 27 at Galilee M.B. Church.

Reverend Jessie King will officiate.

Visitation will be held noon to 6 p.m., Friday June 26 in the Stephens Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be held in Jackson Memorial Garden in Lexa.

Ms. Essie Willis Hudson-Thames was born to Will and Ella Willis on January 4, 1928 in the Vanndale community.

Her parents, a son, Annise Wilson, a daughter- in- law Henrietta, a granddaughter Michelle, three sisters, Pearl Willis, Laura Thomas and Willis Thomas, three brothers, William Willis, Moses Willis, and Hosea Willis, all preceded her in death.

She leaves to laugh, love, and lift those who brought so much joy to her life, a son, Jimmie Wilson; a sister, Willie Bell Coleman, a brother, Leon Wells; 10 grandchildren, Kyle Wilson of Lake View, Steven (Cheryl) Wilson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Reginald (Cynthia) Wilson of Helena, E. Dion (Sharon) Wilson of Forrest City, Jerry Walker of Chicago, Illinois, Michael Williams, Urlunda Riddle and Arron (Alamakea) Williams, all of Flint, Michigan, Cynthia Riddle and Debra Williams, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and friends who will miss her dearly.
