Fred Lee Miller was born on February 2, 1924 in Shaw, Mississippi to the late Herman Fisher and Alberta Miller.

As a young boy, Fred remembers his father, Herman taking him by the hand to Parker Chapel A.M.E. Church in Shaw.  Fred left Mississippi and joined the Army.  Fred later moved to Detroit, Michigan where he made his home and became a faithful member of Refuge Temple Apostolic.  He became unshakeable in his Christian faith. He often spoke of owning property in Mississippi and had a desire to return to Mississippi.

Fred later became a member of Booth Chapel COGIC.  He had a longing to move to Arkansas and became a faithful member of Fishing for Souls All Peoples Church FG, where he preached.

Apostle Dorothy Haskell, Pastor Ralph Haskell, and Daisy Hillard were his caregivers. In September 2014, the Haskells took him to his hometown of Shaw to visit his property and Parker Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he walked 80 years before. Fred also found family members

His father, Herman Fisher, his mother, Alberta Miller, and a son precede him in death.  Fred departed this life on June 16, 2015 at his home surrounded by love ones.
