Joseph St. Columbia is project manager for team Columbia at the Marshal Space Academy at Huntsville, Alabama. His team will be assigned by NASA, a project for the summer in rocket propulsion. St. Columbia will return to Mississippi State University this fall to continue his education after spending a year at the University of Alabama at Huntsville, working to acquire his doctorate in propulsion. NASA recently announced the testing of a flying saucer that will be used to land on Mars at one of their facilities in Hawaii. A flying saucer concept has long been studied for space travel and landing on planets with a thin atmosphere. Joseph is the grandson of Joe and Joyce St. Columbia of Helena.
