Rotarians around the state will gather at the Arkansas State Capitol Monday in celebration of Rotary International’s 110th anniversary. Rotary information and project displays will be exhibited in the Capitol Rotunda from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rotary International was founded Feb. 23, 1905 in Chicago and is the world’s first and one of the largest non-profit service organizations with more than 1.2 Rotary members internationally. Rotary International’s goals include promoting peace, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education and developing local economies. Rotary is best known for its worldwide success in helping reduce polio cases by 99 percent.
