Nora Sain, 88, of Marvell, passed away at her home Sept. 16, 2013. Nora Sain was born on Oct. 31, 1924 to the late Jeanette Slaughter and Thomas Sain in Blackton. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at St. Mark No. 1 in Blackton. She later moved her membership to First St. Mark of Palmer where she was a faithful member until her health failed. Sister Nora was a faithful Sunday School scholar of the First St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. She served as president of the usher board for 30 plus years, a mission devotional leader and also for many years she was a mission devotional leader for the Bethlehem District Association. Sister Sain served dutifully on the mothers' board. She truly enjoyed singing solos and duets with her aunt. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Leon Sain, John Sain (Katrina) of Detroit, Mich.; Anthony Sain (Mary); a daughter, Linda Jackson (Calvin) of Marvell; six grandchildren, Shalaman Jackson Sr. of Pine Bluff, Crystal Sain of St. Louis, Mo, Hope Sain of Detroit, Actually Sain-Fields (Greg) of Marvell, Dontae Sain of Detroit and Shadijah Jackson of Marvell; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katie Sain of Marvell and Annette Sain of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Lonester Sain of Dallas, Texas; two aunts, Fannie Chears of Pine Bluff and Lola B. Parks of Chicago; an uncle, Louis Sain of Jacksonville; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at St. Matthews M.B. Church in Marvell. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept.28 at St. Marks M.B. Church. Rev. Uzziah Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Marks Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Kincaid Funeral Services. Online guest book at
