Mary Ann Frazier, 60, of Marvell, died Sept. 21, 2013 at Baptist Memorial DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, Miss. Mary Ann Frazier was born June 3, 1953 to the late Evancher Burton Sr. and Clara Mae Sampler in Lula, Miss. She joined the Asbury Missionary Baptist Church family where she served as a faithful member until her health failed. She loved gardening, cooking and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, siblings and her nieces and nephew. She believed that no matter what she went through, God would see her through. She married Johnnie B. Frazier and together they raised eight children, four of whom were their own, Anthony (Ashley) Burton of Jacksonville, Sarina (Joe) Jackson, Jerry (Moneak) Frazier, both of Marvell and Joseph (Deborah) Frazier of Jonesboro. She also leaves her siblings, Josie Burton of Brooklyn, N.Y., Julia Ann Walker of Memphis, Louise Newsome of Chicago, Ill.; Cleveland (Kelly) Burton of Louisville, Ky., Lula Burton of Atlanta, Ga., Jessie Burton, Jean Burton, Cindy Martin, Joe Burton and James Burton, all of Tunica, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her husband, Johnnie Frazier, a sister, Magnolia Burton, a brother, Evancher Burton Jr., a nephew, Terry Burton and her parents, Evancher Burton Sr. and Clara Mae Sampler, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27at Kincaid Funeral Services West Chapel. The funeral will be noon Saturday, Sept. 28 at Asbury M.B. Church. Rev. Leroy Williams will officiate.
