Dorothy Fay Lyles Denton, formerly of DeQueen, was born May 24, 1916 in Jones County, Texas to the late Authur Lyles and the late Faye Bridges Lyles. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 18, 2012 at her home at Elaine.

 



Dorothy Fay Lyles Denton, formerly of DeQueen, was born May 24, 1916 in Jones County, Texas to the late Authur Lyles and the late Faye Bridges Lyles. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 18, 2012 at her home at Elaine.



Her husband of 56 years, Brother Joe Denton of DeQueen, four brothers, Orval Lyles, A.C. Lyles, Ralph Lyles and Luther Lyles, and a sister, Chris Bradley, preceded her in death.



Survivors are her brother, Carter Lyles of Paris, Texas; a daughter, Betty Jane Calhoon (Kenny) of Elaine; two granddaughters, Bonnie Jo Harper (John) of Elaine and Belinda Jane Russell (Mike) of Marvell; five great-grandchildren, Joseph Russell, Michael Russell, Cody Russell, Clay Harper and Casey Harper; and a host of nieces and nephews.



Dorothy was a homemaker, Sunday School teacher and the wife of a Baptist preacher for 50 years.



Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the First Baptist Church in DeQueen. Burial was in Redmen Cemetery.
