Funeral services for Katrina R. Williams will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the P.L.M.D. Center. Rev. Artis James will officiate. Burial will be in First Baptist Elaine Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 24 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.
Katrina Rolanda Williams “Bouncer” was born on May 26, 1976 in Helena to Leon Williams and Vanessa Jordan. Katrina confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She completed her high school education at Elaine High School. She obtained a license as a certified nursing assistant and was employed at Grace Assistant Living in Oklahoma City, Okla.
On Feb. 16, 2012, Katrina was called home due to health failure. Her grandmother, Maggie Kuykendall, grandfather, J. C. Kuykendall and a very special aunt, Curtie B. Williams preceded her in death.
Katrina leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Vanessa Jordan, of Helena-West Helena; her father, Leon Williams of Elaine; her children, Tonisha Renea Carter, Resunno Cortez Young and Kieosha Lashay Maxey all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two special sisters, Tarsha Ester of Little Rock and Tywonda Otey of Little Rock; four special brothers, Arderia Ivory, Antonia Otey, Travarus Williams of Elaine and Jeremy (Crystal) Glass of Helena; a goddaughter, Rakinya Howard of Elaine; four aunts, Veronica Watson, Faye Adams, Gloria Brown, and Lucille Taylor, all of Detroit; a very special friend, Wilbert McCleod of Oklahoma City.
