Marc David McGee, 54, of Helena, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at his home.
Marc David McGee, 54, of Helena, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at his home. Mr. McGee was born Dec. 19, 1957 in Ypsilanti, Mich. to Verla Cunningham Jarmusch and the late Marion “Mac” McGee. He was a retired captain of the Helena-West Helena Police Department and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He leaves his wife of 18 years, Billie Hellums McGee; his mother, Verla Jarmusch of Helena; a son, Christopher Hellums of Helena; three grandchildren, Michael, Kasey and Victoria “Tori” Hellums; and two brothers, Marion “Rusty” McGee of Georgetown and Gary Fuqua of Clovertown, Tenn.; and a sister, Tina Fuqua of Clovertown.
His father, Marion “Mac” McGee, brothers, Joseph McGee and Ricky Fuqua and sisters, Becky Gaspard, Frances McIntosh and Lillian Young, preceded him in death.
Services for Marc McGee will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Helena. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena.
Pallbearers are Carson McGee, Wilbur Strotter, James Mayfield, Danny Newsom, Terry Newsom and John Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Fielder and David Lovell.
