Francis Marie Holloway, 92, of Batesville, Miss. wishes to bid farewell to anyone who may remember her as a friend, neighbor or co-worker during her many years in the Helena-West Helena area. 

 



Francis Marie Holloway, 92, of Batesville, Miss. wishes to bid farewell to anyone who may remember her as a friend, neighbor or co-worker during her many years in the Helena-West Helena area. 



Mrs. Holloway passed away Dec. 27, 2011 in Batesville.  She was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Marvell to the late William Alfred McDowell and the late Mamie Bohannon McDowell.  She was a lifelong resident of Helena-West Helena and a member of the First Baptist Church in Helena for over 50 years. 



She managed the cafeteria at Beechcrest Elementary School and Central High School for more than 20 years and then managed the Goodwill store in Helena for 15 years before retiring.  She leaves a daughter, Joyce Gemeinhardt of Batesville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.



Her beloved husband and best friend, Ervin Holloway, Sr., her parents, a son, Ervin Holloway Jr., five sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.



A graveside service for Francis Marie Holloway will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30 at Sunset Memorial Park in Helena-West Helena.  Brother James Everage will officiate.
