Billie K. Whaley, 81, of Helena-West Helena, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Billie K. Whaley, 81, of Helena-West Helena, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Whaley was born Aug. 12, 1930 at Gulf, Texas to the late Lloyd and Lillie Malcom Helton. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Helena-West Helena.
Mrs. Whaley leaves two sons, Dewey E. (Teresa) Whaley of Helena-West Helena and Jerry Whaley of Helena-West Helena; two daughters, Marilyn (Ray) Worley of Jesup, Ga. and Brenda (Michael) Reyna of Lexa; seven grandchildren, Stephen (Rachel) Worley, Shain (Holly) Whaley, Dub (Amy) Reyna, Brandon (Stefani) Worley, Heather (Larry) Treat, Jeremy Whaley and Ryan Whaley; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Hammonds, Betty Hammonds and Joyce Smith; three brothers, Bobby Helton, Butch Helton and Sunny Helton; and her best friend, Betty Owens.
Her parents, her husband, Dewey Whaley and three brothers, Elmer Helton, Doc Helton and Alvin Wayne Helton, preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Billie K. Whaley will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Helena-West Helena. Rev. Stephen Worley, Rev. Kenneth Harmon, and Rev. Larry Treat will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Roller-Citizens.
Pallbearers are Shain Whaley, Ryan Whaley, Brandon Worley, Stephen Worley, Dub Reyna and Larry Treat.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Allen, Dr. Ned Pillow, Floyd Castleman, Mike Butler and James Smith.
