Alvin Clyde “Red” Webster, 94, passed away Nov. 23, 2011.  Mr. Red, as he was fondly called, was born and raised at Connell’s Point, near Marvell, the son of Harry and Elsie Webster.

 



Alvin Clyde “Red” Webster, 94, passed away Nov. 23, 2011.  Mr. Red, as he was fondly called, was born and raised at Connell’s Point, near Marvell, the son of Harry and Elsie Webster.  He was a much-loved gentleman and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  He was a Christian and a member of Trenton Missionary Baptist Church.



He leaves a son, Alvin “Buddy” Webster and wife, Betty, of Conway; a daughter, Myrna Wilcockson and husband, Bob, of San Antonia, Fla.; a grandson, Ronald Thrower and wife, Denise, of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Betty Farmer of Harrisburg and Mary Walton of Turner; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.



His parents, his wife, Ione Brewer Webster, four brothers, Renfro, William, Jessie and Charles Webster and three sisters, Pauline Polk, Mittie Crow and Rachel Warf, preceded him in death.



Graveside services for Red Webster were held, Saturday, Nov. 26 at Smalley Cemetery in Connell’s Point.  Brother Harold Crisp officiated.
