A spectacular Christmas production, Happy Holidays, will feature area children and youths as it brings home the magic of Christmas.
This Warfield Concert will be presented in two shows in Helena-W. Helena on Sunday, Dec. 4, by Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) and Helena Little Theatre (HLT). Sponsored by Helena Marine Service in memory of Jim Walden and Roller Citizens Funeral Home, this musical revue will be performed at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Lily Peter Auditorium at PCCUA and is a perfect holiday show for the entire family.
Area children appearing as part of the kids’ ensemble include Emma Allen, Marlee Davis, Matthew Dunigan, Abbie Hamilton, Maddie Kendrick, Ashlee Rutledge, Maeghan Rutledge, Kayli Schwantz, Noah Shelley, and Rachel Wright. Together, they will be singing “Mister Santa” in Act 1  and performing “Sing Noel”  in Act 2. Among those participating in the youth ensemble will be Ellie Phillips, Lorin Rutledge, Lynnli Schwantz, Caroline Stephens, and Katherine Wright. This group will be presenting “I’m Gonna E-Mail Santa”  in Act 1 and “Sing Noel” in Act 2.
This holiday production will feature memorable Christmas classics performed by HLT veteran performers and newcomers and comes complete with snow and a visit from Santa.
PCCUA Performing Arts Director Kirk Whiteside says Happy Holidays will ring in the Christmas season with wonderful holiday music and beautiful scenery.
“Christmas is such a special time of year for everyone,” said Whiteside. “Happy Holidays is full of all of the wonder of the Christmas season and is a great way to get you in the Christmas spirit.”
