On Oct. 21, 2010 the heart of the strongest, hardest working father stopped beating. James H. Hill, 75, formerly of Marvell passed away surrounded by family and friends. Born Nov. 1, 1934 in Limestone County, Ala., he later moved to Connell's Point near Marvell in 1939. Marvell Implement employed him for 57 years.
His beloved wife, Mary Catherine Hill; his parents, O.D. and Mary Vincent Hill, a brother, George R. Hill; and a sister Dorothy L. Howe preceded him in death.
He leaves a son, Douglas Byrd Hill and wife Kristen of Monticello; a daughter, Penny Dauksch and husband, Lanny of West Memphis; two brothers, Clayton W. Hill and wife Wanda of Kokomo, Ind. and Billy W. Hill and wife, Inez of Mayflower; a brother-in-law, Auda Howe of Kokomo, Ind., a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Hill of Elaine; and four grandchildren, Megan, Cody, Drake and Kameron.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Marvell. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
