Arlena Harpole Cavette, 90, died Monday in Helena-West Helena. Mrs. Cavette was born April 5, 1920 in Palestine, the daughter of Lonnie and Mary White Harpole.

Arlena Harpole Cavette, 90, died Monday in Helena-West Helena. Mrs. Cavette was born April 5, 1920 in Palestine, the daughter of Lonnie and Mary White Harpole. She was a retired seamstress at Bobbie Brooks Garment Factory and a member of the County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Marvell.
Mrs. Cavette, the widow of Clyde Cavette, leaves a son, Dennis Cavette and wife, Connie of Marvell; three daughters, Mary Vaiden and husband Philip of Memphis, Elizabeth Wooten of Memphis and Jessie Mae Cavette of Helena-West Helena; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010 at the Marvell Cemetery with Brother Larry Rice officiating. Pallbearers included Kenneth Guest, Clarence Guest, Donald Cavette, James Cavette, Donald Ray Washburn and Billy Harpole.
