A 56-year-old Helena man and a 49-year-old Helena-West Helena woman have been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

 

A 56-year-old Helena man and a 49-year-old Helena-West Helena woman have been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Ronnie Long and Mary Wages were arrested at 1:40 a.m. Friday by Helena-West Helena Police officer Jeremy Bramlett on a routine traffic stop on the Highway 49 Bypass near the Tourist Information Center.
During the stop, Bramlett reportedly found crystal methamphetamines in Long's pocket and he was taken into custody. Wages, a passenger in Long’s vehicles, also was taken into custody.
She allegedly had in her possession a glass, smoking pipe containing crystal methamphetamines.
Long and Wages' bonds were set at $50,000 each.
