Betty Lee Rattler Verser was born on April 6, 1929 to Lewis and Maggie Crowder. The Lord sent his heavenly angels to escort her home on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2010 while she was resting comfortably at the Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena.

 

Betty Lee Rattler Verser was born on April 6, 1929 to Lewis and Maggie Crowder. The Lord sent his heavenly angels to escort her home on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2010 while she was resting comfortably at the Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Mt. Olive M.B. Church at Snow Lake. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery at Snow Lake. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today in the Jackson and Highley Funeral Home chapel.
Betty confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member there until her health failed her. Her parents, Lewis and Maggie Crowder; husbands, Lonnie Rattler Sr. and Jessie Verser; two sons, Lonnie Rattler Jr. and Wilber Rattler; and a daughter, Patsy Rattler, preceded her in death.
 Betty leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons, Lorenzo (Barbara) Rattler of Helena-West Helena and Mark (Sharena) Rattler of Midwest City, Okla.; seven daughters, Earnestine Rattler and Zelma Rattler of Helena-West Helena, Rosa (Willie) Jackson of Robinsonville, Miss., Lisa Rattler of Ratio, Glinda Delaney of Mims, Fla., Debra Rattler and Barbara Knowlton of Midwest City, Okla.; a brother, Lewis Crowder of Chicago and two sisters, Georgia (Elliot) Taylor of Chicago and Sophorna Daniels of Little Rock; 50 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
