A 35-year-old Helena-West Helena man is reportedly doing OK today after he accidentally shot himself around 3 p.m. Wednesday while target practicing on the White River levee.

 

A 35-year-old Helena-West Helena man is reportedly doing OK today after he accidentally shot himself around 3 p.m. Wednesday while target practicing on the White River levee.
Jason White accidentally shot himself in the left thigh with a 9mm pistol as he was taking the gun from his vehicle south of Lambrook on Phillips County 607 Road.
Emergency medical technicians from Pafford Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and gave White emergency treatment at the scene and called for a helicopter to transport White to The Med in Memphis, where he was treated and released.
