The Helena Regional Medical Center recently announced their Employee of the Year recipient to be Linda McAlexander, BSMT and Laboratory Chemistry supervisor.  McAlexander has been employed at HRMC since 1977 and “exhibits care and professionalism when dealing with patients.”
Alexander was nominated for the award because she consistently shows, by her actions, that the patient always comes first and has been a resource for the laboratory staff, other health professionals within the medical center and for healthcare providers in the community.  She is well respected by her co-workers in the laboratory and is one of the “go to” persons for information relating to laboratory testing.
McAlexander handles stress well and is a self-initiator when change must be implemented within the laboratory or medical center environment.  Many patients ask for McAlexander by name when they need laboratory services and she is always willing to lend a helping hand with difficult patient care related issues.  Linda is a person of integrity who embraces our community care values, which is evident by the care and concern she shows to all.
When McAlexander is not tending to patients, she and her husband Tommy McAlexander are tending to customers at their restaurant TMAC Catfish Cabin Delta and Barbecue or spending time with their daughter Jill, their granddaughter Maddy and their son-in-law Kirk O’Bryant. She also is active in her church and community.
