Prosecutors in Washington County have charged a woman with capital murder for the beating and shooting death of her mother.
Forty-nine-year-old Delores Lee Eggert allegedly beat her mother with a tire iron, shot her and then burned the corpse.
Pauline Devor was 70 years old when she vanished in 2007. The woman's remains were found last month on her farm in northwest Washington County. Police say they were told where they could find the body by a woman who said she helped Eggert burn the corpse.
Eggert remains in the Washington County Jail without bond. Prosecutors have not yet indicated whether they would ask for the death penalty.
