The Greene County Tech School District has been ordered by a judge to turn over to a newspaper several documents relating to suspensions of assistant football coaches after a playoff trip in November.
The Paragould Daily Press said it had received Tuesday a copy of an order signed June 9 by Greene County Circuit Judge Brent Davis.
The order requires the school district to release documents relating to the suspension of assistant coaches Lewis Earnest, Jeff Hudson and Brian Holifield. Along with Ryan Carpenter, they were suspended after a playoff trip to Monticello.
The state Board of Education placed the coaches' teaching licenses on probation Monday for two years and fined each $75 for violating a provision of the state teacher code of ethics relating to use of alcohol, tobacco or drugs.
