Deondra Johnson threw for three touchdowns and ran for two others to lead the seventh-ranked Helena-West Helena Cougars to a 45-6 victory Friday night over the Forrest City Mustangs.
The Cougars (4-0-1) opened the scoring on a 47-yard run by Turrell Williams, who finished with 226 yards rushing.
Johnson threw touchdown passes of 13 and 38 yards to Jonathan Johnson and a 21-yard touchdown pass to Kyrin Burrell. He scored on runs of 35 and 13 yards. Johnson also threw a two-point conversion pass to Conway Gilcreast.
In the second half, Edwin Goldsberry returned an interception for a touchdown.
Forrest City scored late in the first half when Darrin Astin hit Kemario Tucker on a 24-yard touchdown pass.
