Central gets jump on start of season for public schools

High school football finally gets into full swing this week.
Central kicks off against Rogers Heritage Thursday night at Don Reynolds-Razorback Stadium.
The Cougars are picked for second behind Watson Chapel in 5A-Southeast.
All other area games will be played Friday night.
Barton opens its season on the road at DeWitt. The Bears are predicted to battle favored Harding Academy in 2-3A.
Marianna has an unusual open date this week.
Marvell opens its season at Lake Village. The Mustang is picked to finish near the bottom in its conference.
Helena native Mike Gregory is determined to break the three-season winless record for the Hughes Blue Devils.
DeSoto is at home against Central Holmes.
Marvell Academy travels to Charleston, Miss. to take on Strider Academy
