The regular season has come to an end for the teams that play in their respective leagues at the J.R. House Athletic Complex.

Technically, the Extreme and Brown Equipment Rental finished in a dead-heat with 9-3 records for the regular season.
During Monday night’s activities at the ball park Althea Wheeler, who coaches BER along with Jackie Swindle, expressed her dismay that the Extreme had been declared the regular season champion.
Randy Smith, who took over the reins as president of the Twin City Athletic Association this season, told the Daily World Tuesday that the TCAA committee made the decision to declare the Extreme as champions based on a 3-1 record during head-to-head competition with BER.
The Daily World plays no role as arbiter in such decisions.
BER was the pre-season favorite by many who follow the local sports based on their seven returning starters.
BER came out of the starting gate running full speed while the Extreme was a bit slower getting untracked.
The Extreme captured the prestigious Pepsi Challenge at Wynne June 6.
In a turnabout, BER defeated the Extreme in the district tournament Saturday at Forrest City.
BER showed its resiliance during the semifinal and championship games against Hays Food Town of Forrest City.
Hays, which had lost to the Extreme earlier, stayed alive with a semifinal victory.
BER bounced back to whip Hays for the championship.
There were a lot of outstanding defensive plays on the part of the Extreme and BER players in the tournament.
Hays sent a tired-arm hurler to the mound in the championship game after pitching the local team to the semifinal win.
The state tournament awaits both BER and the Extreme. The times and location will be anounced later.
