Norac rolls to 12-under Pepsi Challenge Championship

Norac captured the Pepsi Challenge girls’s 12-under softball tournament championship Saturday night at the Wynne Sports Complex.

“We swept four games to win the tournament,” coach Amy Gregory said Monday.  Norac defeated Fisher Farms, 14-1, in the semifinal game, and 23-0 in the title game. The team members are  Laura Johnson, Natalie Mora, Lynnli Schwantz (bat boy) Reece Travis, Alex Travis and Cassidy Kiersey. Standing from left: coach Amy Gregory, Jordan McClure, Kaitlyn Craig, Madison Ward, Shelby Gregory, Peyton Willis, Gabby Turner, Brianna McGaugh and coach Christy Travis. Allen Law Firm won the 10-under title. More on that championship and related photos and stories will appear in Wednesday’s edition of the Daily World.
