Central’s Mekale Carter has signed a scholarship to play for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions.
Carter said Friday UAPB signed him as a defensive end but he could be considered for other positions such as tight end for the Lions this fall.
Carter, who is also a mainstay on the Cougars’ basketball team, was chosen to the all-5A-East team this past season,
