Funeral services for Daisy Griffin, 70, of Barton, will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at the New Haven M.B. Church in Helena-West Helena with the Rev. Tommy Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove No.3 Cemetery in Helena-West Helena. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 P.M. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.
Daisy Griffin was born on March 6, 1939 in Poplar Grove to the late N.L. and Jeannie Mae Griffin. She was one of five children.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was an S.O.S. packer at Mile Laboratory for 20 years until her health failed.
A son, Decotis Kincaid, grandson, Decotis C. Kincaid and brother, Robert Griffin, preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her memory, six children, Burma (Nate), Stanley (Martha), Ronnie, Bernard, Tracy and Dominique; three sisters, Eddie Morrow, Juanita Griffin and Izola Griffin; 21 grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
