Funeral services for Wilma Jean Jacobs-Johnson 54, of Horn Lake, Miss. and formerly of Helena, will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel 417 Walnut St., Helena. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens in Lexa.
Wilma Jean Jacobs-Johnson was born on Sept. 23, 1954 in Helena to Lovie and the late George Jacobs.
Wilma gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She attended Central High School in Helena where she graduated in 1972. Soon after, she began working at Kroger’s for over 20 years, working her way from cashier to manager. After moving to Mississippi, she worked as manager of Wendy’s.
Wilma was loved by all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Her father, George Jacobs and a brother, Donald Jacobs, preceded her in death.
Wilma leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Lovie Jacobs; a son, Kenneth Jacobs of Helena; three grandchildren, Keanna Jacobs, Keaundre Byrd, and Martavious Jacobs; five brothers, Harvey (Caroline) of Dallas, Robert (Sam) of Destin, Fla., Elvis of Detroit, James of Helena, Orlanda (Angela) of Baytown, Texas; four sisters, Georgia of Detroit, Joyce, Hope (Kenny) and LaNier, all of Little Rock, Maxine (Dennis) of Helena; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
