Funeral services for Albert Burns, 68, of Niles, Mich. were Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles. Rev. James R. Bell of White Hall, Ark., directed services.
Ed Burns and Rosie Nelson adopted Burns, born Oct. 8, 1941 at Tallulah, La., to Ora Lee Burns. Burns died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles following a brief illness. He moved to Benton Harbor, Mich. from Helena in 1953 and to Niles in 1964.
He retired in 2008 from United Store Fixtures in Niles and worked for Clark Equipment Co. in the 1980s. As a child he attended the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Helena. He enjoyed collecting antiques.
He leaves five cousins, Cassie N. Bell, James R. (Josephine) Bell of White Hall, Bruce Bell of Arkadelphia, Kimbra Bell and Kandice Bell of Hot Springs.
