Burial will be in the Israel Chapel Cemetery at Turner. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 27, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.
Vera Mae Moore was born May 13, 1930 to Luther and Daisy Lee Gage in Phillips County. She professed Christ at an early age. On April 11, 1947, she married the love of her life, Frank Moore, who preceded her in death. They had nine children.
She was a beautiful spirit and a virtuous woman whose life was a living example of the love of Christ. Whether you knew her as “Bunch” or “Youcie”, she treated everyone like they were the most important person in the world. She loved people selflessly and unconditionally. And because of her friendliness, she never met a stranger. She loved to garden and cook and was thrilled to share with others.
Her husband, Frank Moore, three children, Michael Moore, Theodore Moor, and Leodis Moore, two sisters, Pollie Beatrice Moore and Ceomon Jackson, two brothers, Otis Gage and Eddie Gage and a granddaughter, Tiffany Brooks-Thurston, precede her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory six children, David Moore, Ethel (Dwight) Brooks, Gloria (Reggie) Greenwood, Brenda Hills, Algie (Charles) Johnson and James Moore; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
