Mildred Elizabeth Minton Herrington, 88, of Lexa, died  Monday, Aug. 23, 2010 in West Memphis.  Mrs. Herrington was born Sept. 16, 1921 in Cotton Plant to the late William F. Minton and the late Lula Madge Miller Minton.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Helena and worked for 35 years for Southwestern Bell.
She leaves a son, William O'Neal Herrington (Marilyn) of Conway; two daughters, Donna Brown (Bobby) of Lexa and Judy Moore (Tommy) of Crawfordsville; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Howe (Henry), her husband, Hubert O'Neal Herrington, her parents, two brothers, Harry Minton and Leonard Minton, two sisters, Alma Minton Smedley and Audrey Minton McClendon and her stepfather, John Stovall.
Services for Mildred Herrington were held Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Helena. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park in Helena-West Helena.  Dr. Ron Kirkland and Brother Joe Garner officiated.
