James Kenneth McGrew, 77, of Benton, died July 1, 2008 in Benton. He was born November 18, 1930 in Mellwood to the late Cagie Allen and Amy Lee (Floyd) McGrew. McGrew was a civil/structural engineer with the Corps of Engineers and also self-employed with Mac-Tech, Inc. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Parkview United Methodist Church in Benton.
His parents and a brother, Carl McGrew, preceded him.
Survivors include his wife, Clarice McGrew; daughters, Amanda L. McGrew of Benton, Jamie L. Coleman, M.D. and husband Jerry, of Duncanville, Texas, and Leigh Ann Mountcastle of Frisco, Texas; one granddaughter, Claire Mountcastle; three grandsons, Davis Mountcastle, Porter Coleman, and Noah Coleman, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Parkview United Methodist Church with Rev. Dee Edwards officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
