Funeral services for Emma Trice, 49, of Little Rock and formerly of Helena-West Helena, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at the Second Missionary Baptist Church at 113 Maple St. in Lexa. Rev. Calvin Frierson will officiate. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Cemetery in the Southland Community. Additional visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Family and friends will gather in the fellowship hall of Second M.B. Church following the services.
Ms. Trice was born Dec. 2, 1959 to Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Trice in West Helena. Emma’s life and legacy was based on God and her family and friends and her fellow man and she will be missed by her many friends and family.
 She was a 1979 graduate of Central High School and attended Phillips College in Helena-West Helena and made her home here until she moved to Little Rock to be closer to her doctors.  She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at a very young age and was baptized at the St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in Helena-West Helena.
Her father, Harrison Trice Sr., a sister, Mildred Trice, three brothers, George Trice, Willie C. Trice and Floyd Trice preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Ronald Carr of Little Rock; her loving mother, Ethel Mae Trice of Little Rock formerly of Helena-West Helena; four sisters, Shelvy Jean Brider, Rosetta Johnson and Martha Marie Trice of Chicago, and Mary Wolfe (Larry) of Memphis; five brothers, William Trice of Chicago, Howard Trice (Bee) of Helena-West Helena, Louis Trice (Sheila) of Little Rock, Dr. James Trice of Little Rock and Jean Williams of Los Angeles; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many other relatives.
Flowers may be sent to Wolfe-Brothers Funeral Home Inc., 128 South Seventh St. West Memphis, AR 72301 or to Second Missionary Baptist Church at 113 Maple St. Lexa, AR.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews. Active pallbearers will be members of the Ratio Male Chorus, and the Second Baptist Male Chorus. 
The family extends a special thanks to Pastor Calvin Frierson and the Membership of Second Missionary Baptist Church and for the hospitality shown to the Trice Family- Louis Trice of Lexa and Beverly Trice-Bell of Memphis. They also would like to thank their many friends for their cards, telegrams, flowers, food, monetary gifts and e-mails during our hour of bereavement.
